for complicity
Jul. 20th, 2024 10:30 pmThere are other vampires here.
Claudia managed to know that much by picking up on the minds surrounding them. She's not as strong as Louis, she can't send out the Dark Gift that far, but she's able to catch a few stray thoughts here and there. Keep away from that part of the French Quarter. Damn Mikaelsons, trying to tell us what to do. Don't mess with them, it's for your own good.
What most people took as a warning, Claudia took as an invitation. Louis didn't know shit. Santiago and the rest of the coven didn't know shit. Armand certainly knew shit but seemed to delight in not telling Claudia anything, keeping her as in the dark about her immortal nature as long as possible. Lestat didn't know shit and, most importantly, was probably dead at the moment. Like hell Claudia wanted to talk to him. So these vampires, whoever they were, offered her the chance at an answer. She'll happily take it.
And she at least had a location: the French Quarter. So one night, Claudia sits on a bench, idly staring out into the sky. But as she does so, she thinks as loud and as hard as she possibly can, sending her thoughts out blaring through the sky like a beacon, in the hopes that one of them would listen.
My name's Claudia. I'm a vampire, like you. I wanna meet and I wanna talk.
And if none of them catch her thoughts...well, she's got other ways to grab attention. Leave enough bodies behind and people'll start looking.
